Dear Parent/Guardian,

During the month of November your child will complete a test of academic aptitude entitled the Terra Nova InView.  The InView is administered to all Wausau School District second grade students and is designed to measure cognitive abilities.  It is also one of several measures that the district uses to assess important learning goals.  The five subtests included in the assessment are Sequences, Analogies, Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning-Words, and Verbal Reading-Context.

The Testing Schedule at Franklin Elementary School is listed below.  All testing will take place within each child’s classroom.

Practice Test November 12th or 13th for a total of 25 minutes

Section One and Two     November 16th from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Section Three                     November 17th from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Section Four and Five      November 18th from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

You will receive a copy of your child’s test results.

If you have any questions related to this assessment, please call the office to speak with myself or Melanie Becker – School Psychologist.

Sincerely,

Jon Euting
